I began with a simple 15 minute conversation. What did their team want? What was their problem?
After noting down their current processes and where the frustration was, I drew up some ideas to chat over. We settled on a chrome extension each member of their team could deploy. And they emphasised that though the goal was to enhance productivity and reduce time wasted on social media, the creative function must remain there. Social media is a tool at the core of this business, and creating content is essential for their team to do their job. What I build must not mess with that.

What they wanted must:
Prevent losing track of time scrolling on the major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X…)
Maintain creation capability for sharing content
Allow for content research of trends, competitor posts and own post metrics
Be a neutral, minimalistic dark theme design that doesn't distract
Built flexibly for override and deployment across their team
So I got to work.
